Types of Training
One-to-one training is the most efficient form of language training possible. This is why the International Language School has specialised in perfecting this form of tuition.
All-day intensive
Eight lessons a day. An all-day intensive is the most demanding form of training and is intended to totally immerse you in the language. You can also book lunch with a native speaker so that you can practice your language skills in a relaxed atmosphere.
Half-day intensive
Either mornings or afternoons, four lessons, taken according to your schedule. This type of course makes it easy for you to work half-days but also to get into the language quite intensively during the other half. It is especially good for beginners or for those wishing to work on specific subjects.
Extended course
2- 3 lessons once, twice or three times a week taken at a time to suit you . This type of course is perfect for people who want to improve their language skills quickly but still have to find time to fit it in round their busy schedule.
Preparation for your Individual Training Programme
Placement test
If you are not a total beginner we ask you to take a placement test. This helps us to assess your language level and tells us something about your ability to handle structures, vocabulary and communicative situations.
The placement test can be done by following the links under Exams/Diagnotic tests on this site.
Needs Analysis
Before your course begins we do a “needs analysis” with you. Here you tell us something about your learning preferences, the way you have learnt languages up to now, what you need this new language for and any other relevant information needed for the planning of your course.
Accommodation
For students learning German or English, who wish to have a “total immersion” experience we provide a variety of carefully selected German and English host families where you can enjoy half-board and the company of a live family in the evening.
