The BULATS Benchmarking Package

Introduction

The BULATS Benchmarking Programme is a set of procedures and tools which enables BULATS Agents to run a Benchmarking Programme for its clients.

What is a Benchmarking Programme?

A Benchmarking Programmes is a project where a BULATS Agent works together with a client company to produce a set of guidelines on what levels of language ability are required for different job types within the company.

The company can use this information to guide recruitment/promotion procedures and to structure their training programmes.

Stages of the Programme

• Establish purpose of the Programme
• Establish Job Types
• Establish tests and questionnaires to be used
• Identify participants for the Programme
• Administer tests and questionnaires
• Analyse results
• Produce Benchmarking Guidelines
